Dawdling in the Dordogne

Next stop on our route through France is the Dordogne, and this time we are staying at an even fancier Chateau.

This Chateau is attached to a vineyard and working farm, so there is a real buzz about the place.  This time we feel that we could actually live here and so try to look like we belong!

Again we have two nights in the Chateau, so have time to spend cycling in the region.

We choose a very leisurely route along the Dordogne to Sainte Foy, a pretty little town,

where we stop to chillax and have a spot of lunch

 Afterwards, we cross the river

So that we can return along the other bank towards Pessac sur Dordogne.

The roads are quiet and flat and roll through picturesque villages.

Our favourite cottage had the traditional blue shutters, and we found out that it was up for sale, a British couple was selling up because they had decided to return to the UK.  Once we might have been tempted, but France is for holidays and I've already proved that I am unable to learn the language!
