Today we have a long day, with a bike ride, a border crossing and a ferry trip to an island, but there is still time for a group photo before we depart.
I am so convinced that there was an issue with my cycling yesterday that I ask Stuart to pump my tyres up. Their pressure was below 40 psi, so he puts them up to almost 60psi. What a difference! The cycling feels so much easier, I thoroughly enjoy speeding along on the morning's ride. We have a nice little gruppetto at the back, myself, Stuart, Michelle, Steve, Barbara and Elsa (and of course Luis). It's so much more fun cycling in a group.
(Pic to follow)
There was one very unfortunate incident involving a fast moving iguana and my back wheel, but the less said about that the better.
We are very lucky to see a sloth on the route, thanks to Luis. I don't think any of us would have spotted it, as it was so well camouflaged (and obviously being very sloth like).
Our bike ride ends after 33 miles at the border crossing with Panama. We actually cycle across the first part of the border, and then have to navigate a maze of paperwork and confusion. Without Memo I think we would still be stuck in no man's land.
After a short bus ride, we then get on a ferry to head to a Caribbean island! It's not at all as I imagined, but I'm looking forward to exploring around town tomorrow!
Wondering where the rest of the group is? Where else, but on a very handy drinking balcony on the first floor of the hotel!
